ResvoMe ("we," "our," or "us") provides an appointment scheduling platform that connects service providers with their clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about service providers who use our platform ("Service Providers") and individuals who book appointments ("Clients").

By using ResvoMe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information from Service Providers

  • Account Information: Email address, business name, password (via Clerk authentication)
  • Business Profile: Business address, phone number, bio, Instagram handle, timezone
  • Service Information: Types of services offered, pricing, duration, availability schedules
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we don't store card details)
  • Usage Data: Appointment history, cancellation patterns, feature usage

Information from Clients

  • Contact Information: Name and phone number (for appointment booking)
  • Appointment Details: Service selected, date/time preferences, appointment notes
  • SMS Consent: Explicit consent for text message communications and timestamp
  • Device Information: Browser type, IP address (for security and consent tracking)

Automatically Collected Information

  • Log data (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies
  • Device identifiers and general location (timezone)

3. How We Use Information

Service Provider Information

  • Create and manage Service Provider accounts
  • Process subscription payments
  • Send transactional emails about appointments and account activity
  • Provide customer support
  • Analyze platform usage to improve our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

Client Information

  • Facilitate appointment bookings with Service Providers
  • Send appointment confirmations and reminders via SMS (with consent)
  • Notify about appointment changes or cancellations
  • Manage waitlist notifications when spots become available
  • Enable Service Providers to manage their appointments

4. SMS Communications

We use SMS messaging to enhance the appointment experience. By providing your phone number and checking the consent box, you explicitly agree to receive text messages related to:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders (typically 24 hours before)
  • Cancellation or rescheduling notifications
  • Waitlist notifications when spots become available

Message Frequency: You may receive 2-4 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-Out: You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by texting STOP to any message you receive from us. This will not affect your ability to book appointments through the web platform.

SMS Data Retention: We retain phone numbers and consent records as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.

5. Information Sharing

We share information in the following circumstances:

Between Service Providers and Clients

  • Service Providers can see Client names, phone numbers, and appointment details
  • Clients can see Service Provider business information and availability

With Service Providers

  • Stripe: For payment processing (Service Provider payments only)
  • Twilio: For SMS delivery (phone numbers and message content)
  • Resend: For email notifications (email addresses only)
  • Clerk: For authentication services

Other Disclosures

  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to legal requests
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • In connection with a business transfer, merger, or acquisition
  • With your consent or at your direction

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS
  • Secure authentication through Clerk
  • Regular security assessments
  • Limited access to personal information by employees
  • Secure data storage with Supabase (PostgreSQL)

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

  • Service Provider Data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after closure
  • Client Data: Retained for 2 years after last appointment or as required by Service Provider
  • SMS Consent Records: Retained for 4 years to comply with TCPA requirements
  • Payment Records: Retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)

8. Your Rights and Choices

Service Providers

  • Access: View and export your data from your dashboard
  • Update: Modify your profile and business information
  • Delete: Close your account and request data deletion
  • Notifications: Control email notification preferences

Clients

  • Access: View your upcoming appointments
  • Update: Modify or cancel appointments
  • Opt-Out: Text STOP to opt out of SMS communications
  • Delete: Request removal of your information by contacting the Service Provider

9. Children's Privacy

ResvoMe is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

We operate in the United States and process information in accordance with U.S. law. If you access ResvoMe from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Service Providers of material changes via email. The updated policy will be effective as of the date stated at the top.
